Understanding the OSHA Recordable Incident Rate

Training that covers what the OSHA recordable injury incident rate (IR) is, why it matters, how it is calculated, and what the SESI IR target is.

The training is primarily focused on helping the student understand what an IR of X.X means, and what makes it go up or down.

Documenting Employee Injuries

  1. How to read & interpret injury documentation (emails, incident investigations, triage service forms) from Siemens Energy.
  2. Understanding the different categories of injuries, and how to determine the category of injury for a particular Incident, including review of criteria for an OSHA recordable.
  3. How to document the injury on an Incident record, including updates to the record when more information is obtained (via a reclassification of the injury by Siemens Energy, follow-up medical visits, conversations with the employee, etc.)
